Responding to high error rate, Lists feature...
Starting about 10 minutes ago, we began experiencing a very high rate of errors and we are working on the underlying problem.
Update (1:30p): We are now recovering from this unexpected downtime. The Lists feature is temporarily unavailable as we diagnose the cause of the outage.
Update: (3:30p): We have turned the Lists feature back on.

SMS delivery issues on AT&T
Some users are unable to send or receive tweets via SMS On the AT&T network. We are investigating the cause and troubleshooting why only some users are affected.
Update (9:18): We believe this is fixed and will continue to monitor the situation.
Fixing elevated error rate on twitter.com
For the past 30 minutes, we’ve been seeing a slightly higher rate of errors than normal. We are working to identify and fix the underlying issue.
Update (2:31p): This has now been resolved.
Wrong profile background pictures
We are currently mistakenly displaying the default profile background image for many users. We are fixing this problem now. Your old settings will be fully restored.
Maintenance window Tuesday, November 17th at 11p...
On Tuesday, November 17th, we will be upgrading network equipment between 11p and 1a Pacific. The site may be unavailable for short periods in that window.
Missing "in reply to" links
The “in reply to” links are currently missing on twitter.com. However, we found them, and they will re-appear today.
Retweet feature temporarily disabled
We’re working on a few problems related to the ongoing rollout. These should be resolved quickly and it will be back on for those who had the Retweet feature previously. And we’ll then continue the incremental rollout of this feature to everyone.
Working on high number of errors
We’ve been contending with an elevated number of errors since late last night. We’ve ruled out a number of causes of this problem but are still working to reduce the number of errors on the site.
Update (12:35p): We’re continuing to make changes and are seeing errors return to more acceptable levels.
Retweet rollout continues
We’re continuing to rollout the new retweet feature to more users (so you might see mention of it from the folks you follow). Thanks for your patience as we get Retweet out to everyone.

About 20 minutes ago we started seeing a pronounced increase in the number of errors generated on the site. We’re investigating the cause of this problem.
Update (2:15p): This has now been resolved.
Missing some mentions?
Some users are seeing an incomplete number of tweets when viewing their @username mentions (the replies tab on twitter). In particular, older tweets may be missing and users may find that they cannot page back to see older @username mentions. We’re working to fix the problem that causes this.
Testing new tweet notifications
We’re starting a limited test of notifications on twitter.com for when you have new tweets. So if one of the folks you follow has tweeted since you loaded your homepage, you’ll get a little notice saying “1 new tweet” that, when clicked, will display the new content.
