Incorrect Characters Rendering in DMs
Some users may be experiencing mangled characters in DMs; we’ve identified the problem and are rolling out the fix now. Update: We’ve started a process to repair any mangled characters in direct messages; it should be completed shortly. Update (9:53 AM PST): This issue is now fully resolved.

Site availability issue.
Some users may be experiencing a white screen when logging into Twitter via the web; engineers are looking into the cause. Update (9:22 PST): We’ve identified the issue and are working to resolve it. Update (11:15 PST): Local trends were temporarily turned off. We’re now restoring them. Update (12:39 PST): This issue is now fully resolved.
