Wednesday update on service status 1 year ago

We’ve seen increased load the past couple mornings, but the site has been largely stable. We do have several services that we are still working to restore, so I wanted to update you on the status of each:

• web features: those disabled during the Steve Jobs’ keynote were all restored during, or shortly after it ended on Monday
• user restoration/deletion: this service was restored during the day on Monday
• pagination: most users will be able to paginate back through older updates on the web, however some may run into situations where older links are not available.
• SMS: all systems nominal
• IM: remains offline; bringing this core service back remains our highest priority
• Track: track over SMS was briefly available, but we have had to disable it for the time being. It is our intention to bring back this service, but more work must be done for it to be restored in a way that does not impact system stability
• badges/Facebook app: some users are having problems with these interfaces and further investigation is required to solve the problem
• API: the rate limit remains at 30 requests per hour
